To meet the exponential demand for RPA skills, Automation Anywhere partners with educational institutes to develop automation curriculum
Automation Anywhere®, the leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), is working with leading educational institutes to establish Bot Labs to ensure students are future-ready with RPA skills. Each Bot Lab includes free access to RPA foundation courses, set-up of the Automation Anywhere Enterprise platform in a lab on campus, and training of students and college professors in RPA and Automation Anywhere technology.
In the currently changing landscape, ongoing education and reskilling are vital to keep pace with the automation of processes. The McKinsey Global Institute estimates in its December 2017 report that by 2030, automation will drive between 75 and 375 million people to reskill themselves and switch occupations. This drives the need to create a global workforce which can meet the talent demands of tomorrow. RPA as a category will be a key enabler in driving that transformation in the job market.
Automation Anywhere has established Bot Labs at 36 institutes across the globe so far, including Chandigarh University, Chennai Institute of Technology, GITAM University, CHRIST University, Tulane University and Kelly School of Business. The engagements vary from introduction to RPA and Automation Anywhere to fully established Bot Labs integrated into the college curriculum.
The initiative is part of Automation Anywhere University (AAU), which since its launch in 2017 has reached students across 300 educational institutes and will expand further to 500 institutes globally by end of this year. AAU’s mission is to skill students on Automation Anywhere while in college so these skills can be readily deployed once they join the workforce. The certification from AAU will be the key to employability, as corporations are looking for students with hands-on experience and giving preference to students with the right training. As an extension of this, Automation Anywhere has partnered with Virtusa which will hire students from universities where Bot Labs have been set specifically for Virtusa at campuses. These students will join Virtusa to work on Automation Anywhere software after graduation.
“Automation Anywhere Bot Lab provides our institution with a powerful futuristic digital platform which enables our students to express their creativity and upskill themselves,” said Dr. Iven Jose, Associate Dean at CHRIST Deemed to be University. “The platform also provides students with industry connections as it immediately addresses the industry needed skills.”
“Setting up technology labs on campus is a key initiative in engaging the students with future skills and we are delighted to dedicate a lab to Automation Anywhere,” said Dr. C.P.S. Prakash, Principal at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru.
“Our Bot Lab program provides free, hands-on labs with Automation Anywhere software to enable students to get skilled on the leading Digital Workforce Platform, offering them a path to RPA education and certification to help further their careers after graduation,” said Arvind Thothadri, Vice President, Global Training and Certification at Automation Anywhere. “Our AAU courses and Bot Lab program enable institutes to offer the latest emerging technology skills training while giving students an advantage over the hiring pack.”
