For the past six months, our teams have been working hard to rapidly deliver new AI capabilities to help you go farther with automation than ever before. I’m beyond thrilled to share the latest AI innovations announced today at Imagine Austin 2024. These innovations will expand the limits of what’s possible with automation and accelerate the pace at which automation ideas turn into secure actions.
Below are the highlights covered in today’s product keynote presentation at Imagine Austin 2024.
Our AI + Automation Enterprise System enables you to automate the impossible. It starts with the industry-leading automation platform so customers can securely take action across their enterprise systems. Our new AI capabilities extend the universe of automation use cases to get to business value three times faster than before. And, our new AI-powered solutions accelerate time-to-market for service operations and a variety of business functions and industries.
Underlying all of this are our GenAI Process models, purpose-built for automation and trained on rich metadata from hundreds of millions of automations, enabling you to transform mission-critical operations.
Combined, the results from these capabilities are impressive, whether it's processing unstructured documents with over 90% accuracy or driving 50% higher resiliency in automation deployments. Ultimately, it's about business results. We see you putting the AI + Automation Enterprise System to work, generating 10x business value across these enhanced automations.
We first announced the launch of AI Agents for the Enterprise, the next-gen building block for complex enterprise automations that bring together generative AI and action. Unlike rules-based automation, AI Agents can now handle cognitive tasks as they can adapt to and learn from your data, make appropriate decisions, and responsibly take action across systems.
Our AI Agents are enterprise-grade, going beyond personal productivity so you can automate complex cognitive tasks like deciding on the best replacement product for an out-of-stock item or intelligently routing incoming customer service tickets to the appropriate service rep. The most exciting part is that AI Agents can collaborate across your most complex, long-running enterprise processes.
AI Agents can do what they do because they are equipped with specialized generative AI capabilities. We call these AI Skills. Your AI Agents can have multiple AI Skills tailored to whatever is needed to do the job.
To make it easy for your developers to quickly create AI Agents, we launched AI Agent Studio to build, manage, and govern custom AI Agents tailored for your specific use cases.
AI Skills are also created and managed inside AI Studio. The key ingredients of an AI Skill are an LLM, enterprise data for contextualization, and a prompt template. AI Studio empowers your developers with an open platform to connect to any model from leading vendors like AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure OpenAI so you can ensure it best suits your AI Agent’s purpose.
Our new native retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) service allows you to ground your agents in your enterprise data, like knowledge articles and product catalogs, so they can act with context and adapt to new information. Finally, your AI Agents are directed on how to behave with a prompt template that you can test and tune right inside AI Studio. All of this without the need for a data scientist.
Of course, for you to use and embrace AI, it must be trusted, secure, and governed. Safeguarding your sensitive data while ensuring compliance and security has always been our first priority. That is why AI Studio comes with built-in governance and security controls for real-time monitoring, traceability, auditability, performance feedback, and masking of sensitive data. Automation admins can track data inputs and outputs, monitor model response quality, and automate model evaluations. This enables them to easily align to company policies with model output controls, user feedback, role-based controls, and more.
To accelerate development and speed up the realization of business ROI, our new set of Solution Accelerators for key business functions and industry use cases offers AI Agent blueprints, process templates, and step-by-step solution and training guides.
Available today is the Service Operations Solution Accelerator, with capabilities to automate order management, returns processing, ticket management, and service Q&A for enhanced worker productivity and improved customer experience. Your teams can create specialized AI Agents that can search your knowledge bases in real-time, initiate process flows, and engage with other AI Agents to complete high-cognition tasks like order management, returns processing, and other high-value service functions. Automation Co-Pilot allows you to speed up the onboarding of new workers and enable them to call on AI Agents to deliver better service in less time and delight more of your customers.
Additional Solution Accelerators for finance, HR, IT, healthcare, banking, and manufacturing will roll out quarterly.
Automation Co-Pilot, your embed-anywhere enterprise assistant, has been helping business users across every team increase their productivity with access to automation in whatever application they work. A 120% YoY growth rate reflects the increased demand for its system-agnostic capabilities, which make it the most powerful enterprise-grade copilot for business teams.
We’re taking it a step further, making Automation Co-Pilot conversational, thanks to our integration with Amazon Q. Now, you can use chat for real-time, on-demand help right in the flow of work, driving easy adoption and increased productivity.
Our GenAI Process models have been enhanced to speed automation developer productivity faster than ever. New capabilities captured within Automator AI allow citizen and professional developers to quickly turn natural language prompts into automation, helping your developers work 30% faster. With our new Generative Recorder, you can build more resilient automations using a generative AI fallback, reducing downtime by 50%. The new Autopilot uses generative AI to streamline the conversion of Process Discovery documentation, and now BPMN documents, into automation outlines in minutes, dramatically reducing development time.
To increase speed, accuracy, and compliance, Document Automation, our fastest-growing product at a 9x YoY growth, has been extended even further with new generative AI features. Now, you can automate even more of your document-centric processes by extracting unstructured data and complex table information. Document Automation also supports on-premises use with generative AI by connecting to private cloud AI models on all major hyperscalers, with Anthropic LLM support on Google Cloud and AWS and OpenAI support on Microsoft Azure.
To ensure that your automations can go beyond the basics and tackle any mission-critical enterprise process, we also announced a slew of process orchestration enhancements, such as the new Automation-as-a-Service, enabling you to fully run automations on the cloud, eliminating the cost and management burden of in-house infrastructure. You can also trigger and deploy any complex process automation via any third-party events like APIs, webhooks, or regular schedules. And finally, to expand our platform openness, our new Connector Builder allows you to build packages to connect with any custom business application.
