With a vision for change, Ricoh integrated the Intelligent Automation suite from Automation Anywhere with their existing Oracle system. They formed a central automation team focusing on high volume and manual intensity areas like invoice handling and customer order processing, while placing strong emphasis on security and compliance. The strategic move to automation facilitated employees' focus on valuable tasks, improved customer service, reduced manual workload, and enhanced overall productivity. Operating 60 independent automations completing a million transactions over 50 tasks, Ricoh achieved savings of €1.09 million and decreased operational time by 5,730 days.

In collaboration with Automation Anywhere, SoftBank launched a digital transformation initiative to break through the limitations hindering automation expansion after its initial adoption of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in 2016. To tackle this hurdle, SoftBank rolled out the "Digital Worker 4,000 project," championed by senior leadership, with the goal of reallocating the workforce's efforts from mundane tasks to those adding more value. The project aimed to achieve a monumental annual time saving of 7.7 million hours, thereby significantly improving customer (CX) and employee (EX) experiences.

SoftBank undertook Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to scrutinize and rank tasks for automation, focusing on rooting out inefficiencies.
