#1 - Introducing AI Agent Studio

Organizations are being pushed to embrace generative AI to improve speed, productivity, and more while ensuring responsible AI operation as usage scales. AI Agent Studio solves this conflict by enabling enterprises to easily build, manage, and govern custom AI Agents completely tailored to an enterprise’s specific use cases.

Here’s how it works:

  • AI Skills: AI Agents can do what they do because they’re equipped with specialized generative AI capabilities called AI Skills. AI Agents can have multiple AI Skills tailored for whatever is needed for them to do their job. Each skill can be built with any foundational model, connected to enterprise data, and packaged with a tuned prompt. They can also be reused across automations and empower any automation developer to harness the power of generative AI models without any prior experience.
  • Model Connection: Customers can select from a wide range of models across all the major cloud platforms, such as AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI. Customers can also evaluate the performance of individual models as they create and fine-tune AI prompts or skills.
  • Enrich enterprise context: Customers can improve underlying model output and mitigate hallucinations with our native RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) capability or integrations to RAG services provided by our cloud partners (e.g., AWS, GCP, OpenAI Enterprise).
  • AI security & governance controls: By ensuring only approved models are used in automation and that no sensitive information is within prompts and model responses, customers can drive stronger AI governance to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Through audit and real-time monitoring, customers also get better insights into the prompts and responses exchanged with these foundational models.

AI Agent Studio lets you connect to leading foundational models such as Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI. You can also improve underlying model output and mitigate hallucinations with our native retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capability or integrations to RAG services provided by our cloud partners. And, AI Agent Studio drives stronger AI governance by ensuring only approved models are used while also providing the ability to audit and monitor the prompts and responses when automations are executed. (This feature is only available to cloud customers and requires the Enterprise Platform license.)

#2 - Introducing Autopilot

With AI-powered automations becoming a key growth driver, organizations can fall behind if they don’t expand their automation teams immediately. Autopilot lets you use generative AI to quickly transform process maps into automation, accelerating the automation lifecycle from months to days and delivering business ROI faster. Process Discovery outputs (PDD) get transformed into an outline of process workflow with code and guidance so developers can quickly complete automations with Automation Co-Pilot for Automators. (This feature is only available to cloud customers and requires the Automator AI license.)

#3 - Enhanced automation templates

Enhancements to automation templates focus on speeding time to automation and time to scale. These give developers a head start with built-in best practices and a process-first approach to simplify, accelerate, and scale automation development. Some of the templates in this release include:

  • Insurance quote creation: Quickly build a process automation to generate a property insurance quote inside Salesforce with email confirmation generated using an AI agent.
  • Warehouse goods receipt: Automate the goods receipts against a purchase order process in SAP with approvals for over- or under-shipped item quantities conducted in Microsoft Teams.
  • Loan pre-approval: Automate the auto loan pre-approval for a dealer from a bank with the help of multiple AI agents to make recommendations combining data from LLMs and enterprise knowledge bases.

These enhancements will improve process template adoption by developers, speed development time, and improve the quality of resulting automations. You can create and reuse templates to capture repetitive patterns seen in automations, further optimizing developer productivity.

#4 - Advanced debugging enhancements

Troubleshooting is a core component of any development process, so any speed improvements help get automations into production and generate ROI in less time. Advanced debugging allows developers to quickly and easily debug complex, multi-level automations, quickly move through and troubleshoot nested automations, use the call stack to track and navigate automation sequences, and adjust variables on the fly to pinpoint and fix issues faster.

#5 - Security, scale, and governance

Security, scale, and governance are the elusive trifecta of automation success, but Automation Anywhere delivers on every front. Enhancements in v.33 continue to extend the platform’s lead in these areas with new and enhanced features, including:

  • Secure recording offers improved compliance through auto-deletion of UI element details not used for automation, ensuring that personally identifiable information (PII) is not accidentally stored in the automation.
  • On-premises customers can now delete unused package versions that don’t meet security policies, saving storage costs and simplifying infrastructures.
  • Processes that require a combination of varying application-level user access within the same automation flows can now be automated with ease, supporting the automation of more complex web applications.
  • Repository portioning enables cloud customers to preserve performance standards and ensure seamless scalability with fast and reliable check-ins, check-outs, exports, imports, and other operations. (Only available in the enterprise version.)
  • OAuth users now have an improved means for connecting automations to business applications using certificate-based authentication.
