Automation Anywhere, the largest enterprise software provider in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), today announced it has opened an office in Tokyo to serve the growing demand for its Intelligent Digital Workforce Platform in Japan. The company is serving the market using a combination of direct sales and partners, and already has a sizeable number of signed customers in the region.
Automation Anywhere is working with Hitachi Solutions, IBM Japan, and BIT Corporation along with the large advisories Accenture, Deloitte, EY and KPMG and firms such as Genpact and Wipro. In the Tokyo office, the company has hired individuals responsible for partner success, sales, solutions architecture, training, support, customer service and marketing. The team is being led by Sreeni Unnamatla who has spent more than two decades in Japan working for large organizations and has a proven track record in establishing and leading new business in Japan.
“Japanese enterprises are among the fastest growing adopters of RPA technology in the world, and we are dedicated to serving this region from our new office in Tokyo along with our robust network of partners,” said Ankur Kothari, Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Automation Anywhere. “We saw tremendous growth in Japan in 2017 and with our greater focus we expect ten times that growth this year. Organizations in Japan are quickly realizing the benefits of adding software bots alongside their human workers to improve productivity, efficiency and work-style transformation(働き方改革).”
Software automation is seen as one of the solutions to counter Japan’s increasing labor shortage and aging working population. The Automation Anywhere Intelligent Digital Workforce Platform is the most widely deployed globally, and the only offering in the market to bring together RPA, cognitive and analytics capabilities to provide a complete enterprise solution. The company is committed to localizing its RPA software and documentation.
“We are pleased that Automation Anywhere has established a Japanese office,” said Shigeki Ishihara, General Manager and Corporate Officer, Smart Life Solutions Division at Hitachi Solutions. “This strengthens our existing relationship with the company and continues to ensure we offer the best solution to our customers, which is the main offering of our workstyle reform solution.”
“With the collaboration with Automation Anywhere announced in 2017, IBM has started providing its business process management products integrated with the Automation Anywhere platform to automate repetitive routine tasks, speed up work and increase productivity,” said Keisuke Mochizuki, Director, IBM Hybrid Cloud Integration Software, IBM Japan Ltd. “Now that Automation Anywhere has opened its Japan office, our customers are able to take greater advantage of this joint solution.”
